If you’re considering a hair transplant, you may have heard of a new technique called Direct Hair Implantation (DHI). This minimally-invasive procedure is said to offer several advantages over the more traditional follicular unit transplant (FUT), including shorter recovery times, less scarring, and higher survival rates for transplanted hairs. But how does DHI ( we call it “DHI Hair Transplant in Turkey” for short 😉 ) work, and is it right for you?
In DHI Hair transplant, individual follicular units are extracted from the donor area (usually the back and sides of the head) one by one using a special pen-like (choi pen) device. The surgeon then makes tiny incisions in the recipient area and carefully inserts the follicular units into the holes.
DHI hair transplant is said to have a number of advantages over FUT. First, because the follicular units are extracted one at a time, there is no need to make a long, linear incision in the donor area, which can result in a noticeable scar. Second, Direct hair implantation allows the surgeon to be very precise when placing the transplanted hairs, which results in a more natural-looking outcome. DHI is associated with a higher survival rate for transplanted hair, meaning that more of the transplanted hairs will “take” and grow in the new location.
Of course, DHI is not right for everyone. The procedure is slightly more expensive than FUT, and it is not available at all hair transplant clinics. You’ll need to do your research to find a qualified surgeon who offers DHI. And, as with any hair transplant procedure, there are some risks involved, including infection, bleeding, and scarring. Fortunately we are ready to make your job easier, read on…
If you’re considering a hair transplant, DHI may be worth investigating. The procedure has a number of advantages, and it may be right for you if you’re looking for a natural-looking outcome with a minimal risk of scarring.
